The Anglican Cursillo Movement was introduced to the Diocese of Perth in September 1992, when a team of nearly 40 people from Brisbane Diocese traveled to Perth at their own expense. During the course of one month, the ran four 3-day Cursillo's (2 men's and 2 women's) at the Wollaston Centre for Christian Spirituality at Mount Claremont. There are now nearly 2500 people in over 120 parishes in Western Australia who have attended a Cursillo.

At Cursillo, there is an atmosphere of joy with Eucharists, singing, laughter, times of reflection & silence, talks and discussions and individual prayer and study which focus on action. Like a pilgrimage, Cursillo is for the faithful. It is not intended to bring newcomers to the faith.

It is advisable to delay participation in Cursillo until any current personal emotional issues are eased.
Sponsors answer any questions about Cursillo as fully as their knowledge and understanding allows. Both partners in a relationship are encouraged to make their Cursillo - the Cursillo experience needs to be shared.
Sponsors should provide transport to and from Cursillo. Sponsors should explain, and later provide an introduction to , the post cursillo program of Group Reunion and Ultreya.
Cursillo may be a little like many other things you may have known - and yet it is different. Cursillo needs to be experienced to be understood.
